Sensory overload...

I managed to enjoy the weather by taking a scooter ride with Amanda when she got home from work.  We started with a quick stop at Oak Knoll Cemetery to take a few pictures of the mausoleum.  After a visit to Vespa St. Louis to shop accessories it was a ride through downtown and onto the riverfront.  The crowds were unexpectedly fairly sparse for such a beautiful day, but it made riding through much swifter.  The Riverfront Trail entrance at the old Union Electric building gave us yet another chance to take a few photos.  Then we rode north along the river and stopped at one of the riverfront parks for a short break before heading home.  The sun was setting deeper and deeper as we rode on.  The warm fall breeze caused swirls of the fragrant fall to carry us through the ride.  Smells of the last summer barbecue blended with the bitter scent of warm fireplaces and drying leaves. As we rode deeper into the setting sun it was hard to imagine the coming winter.
